Every Little Bit Helps

Like everyone out there, I've been so saddened by the loss and devastation experienced by those affected by the Victorian bushfires. It's amazing how many people out there are all doing any little bit they can to help and a group of crafty girls are inspiring crafty donations to help those affected in the bushfires at Handmade Help. If you want to make a donation (crafty or otherwise) or even if you have any gifts to buy, check out Handmade Help as you can find some gorgeous handmade and unique items and help a great cause at the same time.

In doing my little bit, I've made these cute little pieces which are up for sale and will be giving the proceeds to the Red Cross to go towards the Victorian Bushfire Appeal.

Robot Softie and Shoulder Bag
for the little men out there! Just made from Kristen's oh so cute and brand new "Robot" fabric.

Very cute Little Girls' Owl Bag.

And for the month of February, I will also be donating 50% of all retail sales made through www.jojokits.com to the Red Cross.

Crafty Podcast Inspirations!

Today was my first day of working together with Kristen since she got her fancy new iPod dock. The plan was to listen to crafty podcasts while we worked to help us be "more inspired & productive" BUT, we ended up listening to Hamish & Andy podcasts for the day! Craftly inspiration - not so much, but oh so funny!!!!

Mollybirds Doorstop

After months of using anything within reach - shoes, the lego tub, a laptop, the basket of unfolded washing, my boys' backpack - to keep the front door from blowing shut, I finally made a doorstop! It's made from Kristen's Mollybirds fabric (one of my all time favourites) using the pattern from Lotta Jansdotter's Simple Sewing book. I reduced it to 80% of the original size. I love it! My two boys want one for their room now.
